snoop Posted May 3, 2014 Share Posted May 3, 2014 I've been on Effexor XR 150 mg for 5 years. The depression has crept back in over the last few months. My doc added Wellbutrin XL 150 mg to the Effexor. Started taking the Wellbutrin 5 days ago and things seem to be going well enough. I take the Effexor and Wellbutrin doses together with breakfast. Now the weirdness... I take Ativan 1 mg every night before bed. Since adding the Wellbutrin to the mix I swear I am having pretty substantial anxiety AFTER I take my nightly dose of Ativan. Before I fall asleep I'm getting deep feelings of guilt and racing thoughts. Sleep seems to be very light and not restful. Is this normal with adding Wellbutrin? Will it last? Could it really be the Ativan causing the anxiety or am I just noticing it because it is at bedtime and Wellbutrin can cause sleep problems?
