Equivilency
Anyone else get wicked nausea on Wellbutrin XL? I was fine on the lower dose but once my pdoc up the dose, I've been having problems. I know 300mg is the therapeutic range, however, it doesn't seem to be agreeing with me.
water
I think I was nauseous as well. Did you just start? Make sure you are eating three full meals a day. If you drink coffee, stop for a few weeks. Ginger ale, ginger tea, pepto bismol, saltines and jelly? If it gets worse I would call your doctor.
Equivilency
It started on week 5. I am gonna see my doc. Can't do the nausea everyday I've been taking it with food and eating my meals.

That's is a long time to be nauseous. I'm sorry. Are you taking the generic?
melissaw72
I'm sorry about the nausea. If you decide to stay on the higher dose of wellbutrin because it is helping (other than the nausea), zofran is a great anti-nausea med to help until that side effect goes away. I hope it lessens or goes away soon for you soon.
lysergia
i get nauseous from my WB if i don't eat, and my stomach actually hurts. there are days i have to stay far away from anything acidic like coffee or citrus. maybe it is time to ask about taking something for the nausea, if the med is working well enough that you'd like to keep it. it seems as if all meds come in two categories for me: nausea or weight gain. Equivilency
I am going to try to go back down to 150mg. The zero appetite and dizzyness a bit too much for me. It was working fine at 150.
melissaw72
Out of curiosity, if the 150 mg was working why did pdoc increase it to 300 mg?
Equivilency
Because 300 is considered theraputic. He thought more was better. Im back on 150 and doing great. I can't handle 300 at all. Edited May 26, 2014 by dnautics
melissaw72
I'm glad to hear you are doing better. I can relate to being on too much Wellbutrin and it was hard to deal with until the dose was lower.
