I made *That?*

Recommended Posts

Some of us have hobbies where we create things. We draw, we dance, we laugh, we sing.... We do all kinds of things. (I feel like going falallala now). But here's a thread to show off our works! Be as selfish and stage-hogging as you want.

Here's my first bracelet!

Strutt your medals, your awards, your glowing valor of honor.... Whatever!!!

I am incapable of either knitting or crocheting, but I still occasionally do bead work. Flash is a glass artist and he made both the placket and the beads, but I did manage to put them together.

ETA Before my hands became so wrecked, I used to play in the mud...ohhh, I so miss that.

Wow Indigo! Those earrings are so intricate, I'd wear them, and give them as gifts. And I love that clay creation.  What don't you have talent doing? You can cook, fly hot air balloons, you used to be a trick rider.. :D

San, my dear, you must remember that I have had more than six decades to learn things and do stuff!!

I am housebound today, so...remember your dictate!!

I can, on occasion, take a nice photo:

This one in particular warms the cockles of a microferroequinologist's heart.

It's been three years since I've been able to make it to a show as visitor or exhibitor.

I wish I had pics, but my grandpa loved those matchstick kits that took enormous amounts of time, patience and details where you could make huge structures out of matchsticks.. He did about 10 of them and now my parents house is decorated with them..

Wow Indigo! So amazing!

I also cross stitch. I like to swear. This was my first cross stitch ever

Here are a few.. I'll explain..

I love doing borders with simple sayings inside. This I hung up at my parents house, in the dining room, but they didn't think it was appropriate for guests. :(

STFU! (Some use of the f-word)

This is a huge cross-stitch I did but never framed. I have it in a backpack. I don't really like it, I might touch it up and frame it eventually. I plan on framing a lot for my new apartment in July.

Medicated!

Embroidery and cross stitch are different. I like both. This was the first thing I embroidered, doing things my own way. I learned what I did had a name (satin stitch) and did more. I think it turned out well. I want to frame it in a hoop and hang it, I love it. For embroidery, its more difficult because I don't draw.

Embroidery - almost done

I made these Space Invaders out of Glow in the Dark perler beads (the ones you make designs with and melt together with an iron) I LOVE perler beads, so simple. You can do AMAZING stuff with them. I gave them to a friend. I want to make a zillion more and decorate my wall with them.

Space Invaders!

I had another Flickr account with more crafts, but I have a blog (with a CB guest blogger!! she said yes!! if any craftsters want to guest blog, just ask and I'll add you, you need a Wordpress account) ith my stuff at Craftasaurus. The link is in my sig. So I don't take over this thread.

write: I have some beading stuff I could send. My mom is ALWAYS buying me beads and I always end up with SO MANY BEADS and I can send some your way!

Cross-stitch with attitude.  I like it.

"I've got a needle and I'm not afraid to use it"

Or maybe not.

The only saying I have on the walls of my house is:

Quote1_opt_zps07ffbe85.jpg

The internal window shutters below it are part of my tribute to my visit to "The House on the Rock", Wisconsin.

I know. I want to explore there. And also look at what books you've got.
