You've got some talent there. The colours! I know very little about art but I like that picture.

Thank you Fluent!

Overly enthusiastic exclamation point because I’ve had a few beers and can’t find the smiley face:

I finished this today and it's almost the only thing I've accomplished all week, so I'm posting it here. The path was super hard to make recede, and required some advice from the teacher, who went in there and smudged it.

I may be very sore from kneeling (I’m getting old lol). But I finished this no sew, knot tied fleece blanket.

One side is floral and the other gray plaid. I love the combination of the prints. It turned out super long and decent width too. Plus it is soft and thick and oh so warm! Husband likes the house cool so I’m always under blankets haha. This one stays in the living room where I sit.

It was time to retire my old pink fleece tie blanket of 9-10 ish years old, that I made during one of my lengthy state hospital stays. My mom wants my old pink one so that worked out well.

Here’s a picture of my new fleece tie blanket.....

Here is the old pink one (just a light pink on the back).....

And I made one for husband years ago too. It’s also super long because he is 6’3”. (Solid black on the other side)

And finally I recently made one with remnants for my parents dog who loved it so much in her bed that she refused to get up and go for a walk outside one evening after laying on her new blanket! Ha! The colors are gray floral and red.

@Wonderful.Cheese, now I have to Google “tie blanket.”

Very pretty colors.

Thanks gear! I don’t know if you have a Jo Ann Fabrics store in your neck of the woods, but I got a deal on a kit. It was cheaper than buying the fleece off the bolt even. For the printed fleece (not just a solid color) and the amount I got.

Here is the one I got but they have other patterns and colors, or you can choose from oh so many other solids or prints!....

https://www.joann.com/the-great-no-sew-fleece-throw-magnolias/16969545.html#prefn1=ecommercetype2&srule=price-high-to-low&sz=72&start=1&prefv1=No Sew Throws

Otherwise for making them you.....

1. lay both pieces of fabric down all matched up on the floor, wrong sides together.

2. cut a 5” square out of each corner of both pieces of fleece fabric (I had extra fabric so I made a template 5” square to make it easier to cut out even squares out of each corner, see red square picture below.....the red square is my template)

3. then cut roughly 1” wide and 5” long strips down one side through both pieces of fleece fabric (it doesn’t have to be exact, heck half of my strips were probably closer to 2” wide and probably more like 4”-5” long, it helps to line it up with your 5” cut out corner square for the length of cut you make for the strips)

4. tie twice the bottom and the top strip you cut out and make sure you line them up properly and don’t get off by skipping one or jumping ahead by mistake

And voila! Repeat those steps around all 4 sides and you’ll have your blanket! I highly recommend them! Fast and easy to finish and so warm and soft! Good gifts too!
