Has anyone been on invega. I heard it's great for schizoaffective. I wanted to also know exactly what moods does it work with?

 

depression or mania, or both?

I've been on Invega. It mostly works on psychotic symptoms and mania.

I have BP 1 with psychosis. I was on it for years. I just came off of it this week, actually. It worked well for me for a long time. I had no psychotic symptoms or manic episodes while on it, but still had depressive episodes and mixed episodes. 

 

Edited to add: It did stop working for me eventually, and my hallucinations came back in full force during a mixed episode, which is why I no longer take it.

It seems to be working well for psychosis and mania for me. Does nothing for depression though.

I loved what invega did for my bipolar II.   I had to go off because it raised my prolactin levels.  Wins the awkward side effect award.

It calmed me down (although not like Zyprexa) and helped with voices, but I had HORRENDOUS akathesia and I started lactating in just a week. I was on 6 mg I think.
