sharma6637
Hello all, I'm currently taking risperdal but I'm sleeping far too long on it(over 12 hours). I was wondering how much people sleep while on seroquel. I really would like to start my career but I'm unable to because of the amount that I sleep. Thanks
Zxrtpky7g
If I ever took my full dose of seroquel like I am supposed to, I would sleep all day. When I was at my full dose, I would sleep through my wake-up alarms heard all through the house. I slept through people working and pounding on the roof. An atomic bomb could go off and I would sleep through that too. Are you asking your pdoc for seroquel or did your pdoc suggest it? I hope that you find a medicine that works for you. Also, good luck with your career when you get it. I hope you feel better soon.
Guzzi
I take 200mg at 9:15 to 9:30 pm every night for sleep.I go to bed around 10:30 to11:15pm. It usually puts me to sleep good.I wake up at 6:20 am every week day and take 80mg of Fetzima.I wake up pretty refreshed without any over drugged feeling. Before the Seroquel I took 300mg Trazadone and 30mg Remeron for sleep.Everybody has a different reaction to meds,I hope you find the right ones for you.Good luck at your career! dilemma
When you first take it, you will probably sleep a lot. The first couple of nights, it hit me, and I felt like a drunk trying to go to bed, and I slept solid for a long time. (12 hours? It's been a long time) I took it on Friday, so it didnt' affect my work. Then after a couple of days I was much better. Actually it petered out after about 5 days, and I had to increase my dose. Once I got on a good dose, it was a godsend. I still think it made me tired more than I wanted to sleep, so I took it at about 9PM, a couple of hours before I went to bed, and I was fine. It's a great sleep aid. I had to switch APs, so I'm now on a drug that makes me sleepy, so I no longer need the Seroquel.
rowan77
I have been on varying doses of Seroquel. I remember when I was on 100mg IR I was exhausted, I definitely found the IR version to be much more sedating than the XR version. I was totally wiped out, dizzy, weak, slept around the clock. I literally had to crawl to the bathroom. When I got used to it I was ok, but that dose didn't help my mood so I went to a higher dose. I was on 400mg XR for about 2 years and if I didn't take it before 7:30pm I would be so drowsy the next morning. I have been taking 800mg XR, twice the previous dose for 17 months and it doesn't cause any sedation at all! In fact for the first 12 months I had to take medication to help me sleep, but that's settled down now Good luck with whatever you and your pdoc decide. It has been a great medication for me and hopefully you will find it beneficial too.
