Meezers
Anyone else ever have this happen with Wellbutrin...making you slow/sedated, foggy, and hungry? Meezers
nanna
For me it was bit foggy/nauseous in the beginning, but after few weeks just the opposite. More lively and active, and *far* less hungry.. have to force/remind myself to eat, and even when I do, the portion sizes are quite a bit smaller than before. Meezers
Thanks Nana for sharing. So many people say there is a difference in regards to side effects for each version of Wellbutrin...idk,, I know everyone reacts differently though. For ex: I was told by someone that SR gives more of a "punch" in re: to energy... Meezers
jt07
Wellbutrin made me slow and foggy, but not hungry. It also made me very irritable.
melissaw72
No, it didn't make me feel any of that.
peacelizard
I haven't noticed it personally, but I've only been on 300mg for about a week. I also tend to drink 2-3 cups of coffee a day, so that might counteract it.
Equivilency
Yes, but my dose was too high. I went down to 150mg and been doing great. It was a slow, sedating, hungry nightmare at 300mg for me. Edited June 7, 2014 by dnautics
Hupcake
I haven't felt slow, foggy or anything like that but definitely don't feel like eating. Like naana I have to force myself to eat and then I feel guilty for not taking care of myself so I end up overeating sometimes or eat things like honey mustard pretzels and raspberries together..lol I am on 300mg daily.. crtclms
I've been on buproprion (generic Wellbutrin) since 1989. At first I felt speedy, and couldn't sleep. Which is not *that* unusual for me, it was just I felt really speedy on top of the insomnia. I did have a smaller appetite at first. The first 7-10 days were the worst for side effects for me. But within 4-6 weeks, I realized it was the best AD I had tried (but I only tried Prozac and Zoloft before that). I really liked it. But within the last *couple* of years, meaning after 20+ years of its working, we think it is making me more anxious than working as an anti-depressant. Still, 20+ years is a pretty good run. If you smoke cigarettes on Wellbutrin, you may find yourself unintentionally cutting back. I went from a pack a day to a half pack a day. I'm titrating off of it (too fucking slowly), and will most likely be switched to Latuda as soon as I stop procrastinating about seeing my psych PRN. I really don't like her. AnxietyGirl74
No, I'm on 450 mgs of Wellbutrin and it seems like I have more energy now and am pretty clear thinking.
