Hoosier_Student
So I recently got my Seroquel XR upped to 300mg. While this has helped with anxiety and sleep, I noticed that my dreams have seemed a lot more vivid and I wake up in the middle of dreams. My dreams aren't necessarily 'scary' per se, but the vividness of them freaks me out because I wake up in the middle of them not knowing if they're real or not. Even after I finally come too, it seems like the memory of the dreams stick with me for the rest of the day. Has anyone else had this side effect? Does it go away with time? manicgem
Hm...interesting. I've had dreams like that (I'm on Seroquel IR), but I never attributed it to the Seroquel. Like last week I swore I was told I might have thyroid cancer, but I think that was a dream because my currently-unknown thyroid issues seem to be something else (thank goodness). And when I was manic, I had a dream that a bunch of people I work with found out about the bp and when I woke up I had to reassure myself that didn't actually happen. Then again, I don't know if I can blame that on the meds. I've had dreams like that my whole life, so it's possible I'm just noticing it more than I did before. Not sure if that's true for you as well.
Level_With_Me
I too had vivid dreams while on Seroquel. But I was also on Ambien at the time.

lysergia
i went off seroquel because of the vivid dreaming/nightmares once. i screamed in my sleep for months. it was horrible. i took a long break from the med, and started it again for sleep a few months ago. this time, no dreaming that seems real. strange.
