MiaB
Accidentally skipping a lamotrigine dose always made me super shaky and dizzy, so yes, I think it is possible that this is what is causing it. Your symptoms should resolve with your next dose. If they do not, you need to contact your pdoc asap.
melissaw72
When I forget a lamictal I also can tell/feel it. Like Mia said above, it should all resolve after your next dose and if not, to call your pdoc.
mcjimjam
I ran out of Lamictal once on a ski trip. It was awful. I don't remember shaking just dizziness and feelings of unreality. It's not something you want to skip.
juan.sitges
Ugh. It's horrific. If I miss, I know it immediately the next day. I want to crawl out of my skin! When my partner was at rehab, there was a girl detoxing from purely lamictal and he said she looked worst than any drug addict detoxing. Like everyone said, on the next dose, usually everything gets back to normal.
MiaB
btw Meezers, we want our boards to be searchable by other members. Every time you use shorthand for your meds (eg "Lam"), you make that a bit more difficult. Please could you try to use the full names for what you are taking. Thank you. dianthus
Lamictal is an anticonvulsant. Skipping a dose when your brain/body is used to it will do all sorts of bad shit, and it puts you at risk for a seizure even if you've never had a seizure in your life. If your next dose doesn't resolve it or things gets worse, call your doc or hit up urgent care.
Savannah
Stopping lamictal without tapering off could cause seizures. Becareful
