Wonderful.Cheese
What the heck is California rocket fuel? Is it remeron and Effexor? What is effexor supposed to jazz people up? Only to come down from the high with the help of remeron? Effexor doesn't perk me up any. ~A confused cheese Edited June 27, 2014 by Wonderful.Cheese
CeremonyNewOrder
I tried both Remeron and effexor once and it didn't jazz me up. Effexor really helps my depression though.
kristivera
i was told it was a mix of pristiq and zyprexa, but ive also heard it to be remeron and effexor. certainly did NOT do anything even REMOTELY jazzy for me on either!
melissaw72
I've never heard of California rocket fuel, so I am interested in reading what people have to say about it. I've been on remeron way back a long time ago, but don't remember any side effect that really sticks out.
quiet storm
My understanding is the effexor and remeron are synergistic in a way. Remeron does not work like a traditional SSRI or SNRI. Remeron works by creating more serotonin and norepinephrine as opposed to stopping it from being reuptaked like a traditional SSRI or SNRI would. So remeron makes more serotonin and norepinprhine be released and the effexor keeps that extra from dissapearing. More created and less being recycled=California rocket fuel. In theory, IMO it should work better with cymbalta and remeron as effexor is only an SNRI above 150mg. Cymbalta inhibits serotonin and norepinephrine across all dosages. I wanted to try it while back because I love remeron and have been on cymbalta before, but I have a love/hate relationship with cymbalta. Didnt do it. In the end, as all these crazymeds do...even in combination..... YMMV. Edited June 29, 2014 by quiet storm
Cipher9
I'm currently on Zoloft and Remeron. I just started a little over a week ago and have noticed some difference from being on just an SSRI (Prozac). I can say this is the best I've felt in many moons. Pateyevee
I'm currently on it. 30mg remeron 150mg effexor. Can say it definitely helps millions with my mood. However on days when I'm anxious I take propranolol which really gets me zoned out.
