Klonopin not overdose but wierd feeling.

Hey guys, I've been taking 3mg a day for eh, near 2 years. I know the common thing 3mg is alot and that it is where it should stop. Well I did accidently took double the dosage. I looked it up the amount maximum you can take in a 24 hour period is 20mg. Now don't misunderstand me. I'm not trying to get high, I'm not that person. But I did accidently take double the dosage which is 6mg. I know the reply's will be 6mg is ALOT and those common posts on threads. But what is done is already done.

I understand the medication really well. The question is, I've felt way weird, spaced thoughts, increased anxiety, can't grab a thought at times can feel the feeling of the drug kinda hangover, or I guess you could say withdraw from that amount the next day. So I went 13 hours or so right now before I took my next dosage just to keep the time really spaced out. Anyone experience that? And man when does it go away. I don't want to do anything but go to sleep to get rid of the hangover feeling, the feeling of kinda like spaced out not being here. Anyhow just curious. I guess its a waiting period no matter what before its done and have to man up through it.... Sorry for the rant just figured I'd post on it talking about it, since it does help to get stuff out.

You don't have to worry about dying or anything like that. I understand accidentally taking too much. Please don't drive or anything, and get back on your regular schedule of Klon. You don't want to go through withdrawal. Good luck!

I'm not a doctor, but benzos are really safe meds as long as you don't mix them with alcohol or other drugs. You are right in that it is just something you are going to have to ride out. If you are very concerned, call your doctor.

I've accidentally taken too much of a med also.  For me it was just a matter of riding it out until it wears off.
