Latuda - side effects after a year?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had side effects show up after taking something for a year? I've been on Latuda, went from 40 - 20 mg, so a pretty low dose. I just noticed this weekend that I appear to be lactating (sorry if tmi!).

I'll call my pdoc tomorrow, but it sucks. I don't want to go back on the med merry go round as I've been pretty stable. Other than this, I've really liked the latuda.

Oh wow, I started lactating on 80 mg latuda after 4 years.  I thought I was just a freak.  My pdoc took me off it.  It was so great for me, too.

I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism fairly shortly after I came off it and have been having seemingly hormonal problems with rage so I am a bit worried that more than my prolactin is messed up, or that I got a lot worse coming off the latuda.  Also, the lactation hasn't really stopped.  So, I am not sure if it was the Latuda or something weird is going on with my body.  It is a mystery.

I wasn't on Latuda, but after taking Trileptal for a year and a half, I developed hyponatremia, which is low salt levels in the blood, and had to discontinue it.

I'm currently on Clozaril, and had to get my blood tested every week, and now that I've been on it a year it's every 4 weeks, to test for low white blood cell count, so I could get the side effect at any time.
