Unstrung Harp
I take it before bed, or sometimes after dinner (my pdoc suggested trying that when I was having a lot of nausea, which has gone away anyway.)

larryj
Have been on 20 mg dose for about 1 week, after escalating from starting dose of 5 mg over last 3 weeks. Take it in the AM with food to reduce nausea (which is supposed to subside with time). Otherwise, have some constipation, tingling, and sexual side effects. Too soon to determine effectiveness. MaggieWPG
I am currently taking 10 mg of Brintellix a day and take it at night with a meal, mainly bc of the nausea.
dragonfly23
I take 10mg in the am, some burping but no nausea. With other meds I have found taking it with a spoon o peanut butter helped.
Leanne
I have been taking brintellix for a week on 10 mg,have tried every tablet in the book,no improvement yet,I feel worse, just don't know what to do anymore, does it matter if you take it at night or day time, It's a very new drug, really not sure whether to keep taking it,or give it longer to see if it helps,,,
jaybirdsmom
I hAve only been on Brintellix for 3 days. Already had stomach issues previous to starting this but it seems to have escalated. Gas, bloating, nausea....also my anxiety seems to be in high gear the past 2 days and my usual anti anxiety med doesn't seem to be touching it.
