What are you taking it for?  Trileptal is another AC that tends to be used for mood stabilization.  I've never had joint pain from my lamictal... are you sure it's definitely the lamictal and nothing else could be the cause?  How long have you been taking it?  Lamictal is one where you usually have to wait out the side effects, and they usually go away, or at least they did for me.

I've never had joint pain with Lamictal, and I've been on it for years.  If you have just started taking it, I'd give it a little more time to see if the joint pain goes away. It might just be a side effect, like Bueler said above.

I've heard of it, but not personally experienced it.  My pdoc actually mentioned it yesterday as a possibility now that I've reached my target lamotrigine dose.  Unfortunately we can't help with more suggestions unless you give us more information - why are you taking it, what else have you been on in the past, etc.

A buncha years with Lamictal. No joint pain (other that those from bone spurs, arthritis (I mean, seriously, WTF!), ruptured discs, and  now a torn medial meniscus, discoid lateral something or other).

Any way you can narrow stuff down? Eliminate other possibilities? Joint pain so just sucks in general.
