Butterflykisses
Has anyone been on this dose of Latuda? I have been taking 80mg for awhile now but experienced a bad mixed episode so my pdoc increased the dosage to 120mg (the highest dose). I have no room to move up on the Lithium because my levels are already high and I don't want them to become toxic, so this was really the only med I had room to increase. electricbamboo
I was on Latuda 120mg for a bit before my pdoc changed me over to Saphris (latuda wasn't cutting it for me). This was also while taking 1200mg lithium. It made me very nauseated for a day then that subsided.
Night in Juniper
Butterflykisses, How is this going for you? I may increase from 80 mg and wonder about that. I wonder why it goes from 80 straight to 120 mg when there are 20 mg and 60 mg tablets, meaning, isn't 100 or 110 mg beneficial? A jump from 80 mg to 120 mg seems high, so I am definitely curious about it. I started this med a couple of weeks ago and I am starting to notice good changes in the bipolar depression. But it took me that long before I could handle it at night. I was very anxious, restless, couldn't stay up past 8:00 PM due to feeling like the world was caving in. I'd hate to feel that again. Butterflykisses
Night in Juniper, I noticed a massive difference from 80 to 120. A good difference. It is much more helpful. I am taking it for psychosis mainly, and poof my psychosis is in remission. However, my depression is at the treatment resistant stage which means the Latuda has not helped at all with depression, if it has it has been minimal. However, if 80mg is helping you 120 might just be your lucky number. I take it at night and I used to get the feelings you described but over time it faded away. Good luck! Night in Juniper
Thank you! My hypomania and any psychosis is managed pretty well on the Seroquel XR. The Latuda has been for a crisis additive for the severe bipolar depression. Strangely opposite to your situation, it is helping that. I'm very sorry that you're battling treatment-resistant depression. That is rough. I am not ready for the freaky feelings again, but its good to be validated and you could be right. Take care
