Today is going to be the longest day EVER

I am hypomanic and stuck at home with a sick kid. Minutes feel like hours as I read aloud, make soup, cuddle, etc. The thing is that I love my kid fiercely and am relieved that I'm not so depressed I can't parent. But I feel like I will crawl out of my skin if I don't get outside and do stuff today. At noon,I looked at the clock,saw I had 8.5 hours till bedtime and felt like screaming.

CBT has been incredibly helpful for me. When I know why I feel the way I do, and can clearly see why those feelings make no sense, it's easier to dismiss them.
