I was thinking about asking pdoc next week to take me up to 90. But, it would make sense to get 30s...otherwise your only option is to convert it to a liquid, but don't do that unsupervised. Bianca Posted December 8, 2005 Author Share Posted December 8, 2005 Well I have been rx Klonopin for my anxiety. I only upped my Cymbalta to 90mg to counteract the anxiety. I went to the GP yesterday and my bp is slightly increasing over time. Use to be 100/70 then 120/80 then the nurse checked and it was 140/84.... the doc was like wtf. He checked again and he got 124/82. I think that nurse sucked ass. I figure if I have the Klonopin then I could go back down to 60mg and maybe help the bp decrease. Any opinions. Kris Posted December 9, 2005 Share Posted December 9, 2005 Gotta put my 2 cents in here. I recently switched from 60 mg of Cymbalta to 10 mg of Lexapro. Weaned myself over and I did just fine. Went down from 60 to 30 for about 7 days and then to the Lexapro. No problem, no side effects, or weird stuff. I think sometimes that chances are if you had little side effects starting up on a drug, that's what you might wind up with going off it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You might want to do 60/90/60/90 for a week if you have too much trouble, but I doubt you will. You might have an increase in depressive symptoms for a week or so afterwards but that should even up over time. If it's anything like Effexor, going from 30 to nothing should be really shitty, but earlier decreases won't be nearly as bad. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bianca Posted December 9, 2005 Author Share Posted December 9, 2005 Thanks for the input. I have a pdoc appt in 12 days. Started the klonopin (generic form) only 3 days ago. Trying to decide now if I should give the addition of Klonopin time until I see the pdoc before titrating or if I should just start now. I know you can't tell me what to do but some insight would be great. I'm thinking I should just give the klonopin time before I switch up the C. Greenyflower Posted December 11, 2005 Share Posted December 11, 2005 I've only been on C for a few months, so maybe my withdrawal was psychosomatic or whatever (IN MY HEAD!) A very scary place. Not just in your head. Taking either Cymbalta or Effexor for more than four weeks makes subject to withdrawl symptoms as you taper off. Bianca Posted December 12, 2005 Author Share Posted December 12, 2005 Well only a week left before I see the pdoc. I am still taking the 90mg. Today I took a 1mg tab of klonopin and I don't really notice much. I guess its a low stress day. thats good. I have an interview on Thursday so definitely take one that day. When I take .5mg at night it knocks me out and I sleep like a baby. I'll keep you guys posted.
