Savannah
I was recently in the hospital twice. On my discharge papers one said Bipolar Affective D/O, Severe and Recurrent mixed Episode With Psycotic Episodes. The other one listed just Bipolar Disorder. My pdoc usually just shows BP 1 or BP NOS. Do you think the dx the hospital will help me with SSDI. I am at the hearing level.
CeremonyNewOrder
I've heard the best you can do is document your illness and treatment. Hospitalizations will help. Good luck.

Savannah
Surreal, I have only told my pdoc about bible study and attending 2support groups. I figure those as safe. Thanks for your input.
melissaw72
It can't hurt to include them in all the paperwork (etc) for SSDI. I think any and all diagnoses will help you.
Wonderful.Cheese
I would just try to be as honest as possible. Meaning don't lie or leave anything out. All of the stuff you have been doing shows great progress! You should be proud! Making friends and being able to concentrate on movies is awesome work! I was honest on the forms for SSDI and I still got it and on the first try without a lawyer or advocate.
Butterflykisses
I was completely honest as well and got SSI on first try. They know if you are working the system. Just because you are on SSI/SSDI does not mean you cant go to movies. Enjoy your life as much as you can, you only get one.
