CeremonyNewOrder
As I was titrating up on Risperdal I didn't feel anything but man when I got to 5mg, I could barley keep my eyes open. Has anyone experienced this? Did it go away with time?
jt07
Do you take the 5 mg all at once? When I was on 4 mg, I took it in 2 divided doses and didn't feel anything. Once I forgot my morning dose and took 4 mg all at once, and I became very sleepy. (My pdoc didn't care whether I took it all at once or in divided doses.) If it is making you sleepy, you might want to talk to your pdoc about the possibility of taking it in divided doses.
CeremonyNewOrder
I take a divided dose. It could be because I just increased the dosage.
trailmix
I take 4 mg all at once, right before I go to bed. My pdoc added lamictal to counteract the zombie effect. I was flat...so flat.
Wonderful.Cheese
Risperdal never sedated me one bit. I hope your body gets used to the new dose. It may take a bit of time. But if it's working for you it may be worth it. Good luck!
rowan77
Had no sedation on Risperdal except first few days
