ahalo
Any thoughts? I'm about to start this, but I'm worried about whether Strattera will match up to my beloved Methylin (which I had to go off so as to appease my pdoc as he hates mixing Methylin with Klonopin). Dosage is 10 mg Lexapro, a starting dose (18 I think) of Strattera, 1/2 Klonopin PRN (but I take 1 mg PRN), and 25 mg Seroquel for sleep. I might only take Lexapro during my "luteal phase" since it's primarily to help with PMDD, but if I find it helps with anxiety I might take it all month. It scares me though b/c both my sisters took it and found it unbearably sedating :/
Velvet Elvis
You'll need to give the Strattera some time. A month after each change in dose isn't uncommon. Did you try taking a higher dose of Seroquel or taking the Lex monthround while taking the Methylin? Either one could have potentialy helped with the anxiety to the point of not needing the klon, therefore alowing you to stick with the Methylin. ahalo
Maybe at some point I can go back to Methylin but for now I don't mind giving Strattera a try. I also have a choice between Lexapro, Paxil CR, and Amitriptyline and I'm not sure yet which if any of those I will go with... I can't stand the apathy from antidepressants, but ever since I"ve gone off Effexor I've been eating like a lunatic probably because antidepressants take away that stress-eating urge that I usually have. So I don't know. Might just try the Seroquel and Strattera for awhile.
Velvet Elvis
If the strattera works, it could help a lot with SSRI induced apathy.
