Rabbit37
My pdoc said that my prolactin levels were too high with risperdal, plus after years of use it really wasn't doing a bang up job anymore. So we're switching to fanapt. I've tapered the risperdal slowly (off 3 mg), and am ready to take the first dose of fanapt in the morning. I'm a bit worried that it'll be sedating. That's fine at night, but I need to function during the day. Does anyone have good experiences with it? Or bad, I'll listen to that too. Thanks. bookgirl
It simply did nothing for me. I went back on Seroquel. YMMV.
Wonderful.Cheese
I took fanapt for a while. It didn't do anything for me either. I took it when it first came out. My bad pdoc had a bright white shiny folder with the word "Fanapt" on it. Great. Anyway, it didn't do squat for my psychosis or mood. But give it a shot. It may just be your miracle med. Just because it didn't work for bookgirl or I, doesn't mean it won't work for you. Good luck!
