Phoenix_Rising
Hello and Welcome to Crazyboards!I encourage you to see a psychiatrist if you are experiencing problems. You don't need to worry about being hospitalized just for sharing what is going on with you. This is a pro-treatment site, so you will run into people telling you to go see your doctor and encouraging you to take whatever meds your doctor might prescribe. If you need anything, just contact a staff member. WinterRosie
Hi. Welcome to CB! Did you know that those specific ailments can lead to brain damage over time? As an artist you need those brain cells. I've found that my own art just fails if I'm too symptomatic. I get too distracted and can't recognize what's around me any more. Sometimes I lose skills that I've had since childhood. That's a good way to lose work as an artist. I'd hate for that to happen to you too. If you're terrified of treatment find out what the local stipulations for hospitalization are. No one wants to pay for you to be there and so the criteria for IP care a pretty strict. Where I live it's if you're an imminent risk of danger to yourself or others. Do you strike yourself as being in either of those categories right now? I can even talk to my care provider about being suicidal and I've never been sent IP for it. If it's very hard for you to organize and control your thoughts... it can be easier. There's no need to martyr yourself to fear. Looking forward to seeing your posts around
jt07
Welcome aboard! I also encourage you to see a psychiatrist. Hospitals are always full, and it's very hard to find a place even when you really need one. You really won't be hospitalized unless you are a danger to yourself or others. I don't think you have to worry.
olga
Welcome to Crazyboards. I join the others in urging you to see a doctor. The right medication could make all the difference in your life, and as Rosie said, you need to save those brain cells. I hope you will stick around and get to know us. olga
MiaB
Welcome! I agree with everything that was said above about finding a psychiatrist. You're clearly suffering and you don't have to, so please reach out for help. As was mentioned, hospitalisation is highly unlikely unless you are a direct threat to yourself or others. Take care of yourself and please keep talking to us. I hope that reading and contributing to posts on this pro-treatment, pro-medication board will help you.
