nsb99
It's currently in the 4am range, and I have been up and obsessing for the past two hours about antidepressants. I dunno y'all...could I just have some kind of screwed up thyroid thing going on? It's a long story but I have all kinds of autoimmune issues and I am experiencing a ton of doubt now that these meds are the answer. What the hell is wrong with me? Why can't I just trust my doctor? I swear, one stupid therapist says one thing to me about ADs and now the seed of doubt has been planted.
melissaw72
It wouldn't hurt to ask your primary DR to get your thyroid checked to rule it out.
Phoenix_Rising
I read your other post where you stated that your therapist thought ADs were only for suicidal patients. I don't know how much further from the truth this could be. ADs can make a very big difference in how you feel. I even took an AD throughout my pregnancy and breastfeeding. My son is 12 and as normie as can be.Like Melissa suggested, go see your GP and have your thyroid worked up.
nsb99
My PCP checked my thyroid: TSH, T3, T4 and it was all normal but she didn't check my antibodies. I've had elevated prolactin before also, and previously suffered from low thyroid and high antibodies
