RemSleep
I have been on Abilify for many years. I suspect Abilify has recently started causing peripheral neuropathy. I take the Abilify and the numbness increases. I stop the Abilify and the numbness decreases. I am seeing a neurologist about this today. I am worried other atypicals may be cause the same effect and possibly be worse. I do have type 2 diabetes and I am taking 2000mg of metformin per day. The strange thing about this situation is that I have experienced no noticible pain with the increasing numbness. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? melissaw72
No, I haven't, and I've been on Abilify since 2003. My thoughts are maybe the peripheral neuropathy is relate to the diabetes somehow and maybe the abilify might be exacerbating it?
