climber47
So started lithium 10 days ago; I'm diagnosed cyclothymia/bp II but I've really never felt very manic, depression (treatment resistant) is my primary symptom. However I feel like my reaction isn't typical, I seem to be getting very angry and hostile at times, isn't that kind of the opposite of what it should do? Also getting very hungry, not sure how common that is.
crtclms
Weight gain can be a side effect of lithium, although I don't know how common it is. Irritable hostility does not sound like you are achieving a goal. It could be temporary, your pdoc may want you to tough it out a bit. But I would call you pdoc, especially about the irritability and hostility. Oh, and I am moving this to mood stabilizers.
