Most atypical anti-psychotics possess antimanic properties. Though I'm not sure about Latuda specifically...I think it's only approved for bipolar depression. But that isn't to say it can't have any effect on mania since it is an atypical anti-psychotic.

I am not sure, I am tapering off of it and currently I am pretty manic. So its possible that it DOES work for mania, and being on the 120mg was stabilizing me. Unfortunately I cannot take Latuda anymore.

Breakthrough episodes do happen especially if you are under a lot of stress. But it is possible the Latuda is just not working. I am not sure what Latuda is approved to treat, I know SZ and Bipolar depression, maybe mania, who knows

I hope you get out of your mania soon. I am manic as hell.

I used Latuda for bipolar depression, and it really has been the crowning med in my cocktail. I am stable for the first time in 9 years. But it wasn't treating mania. However, I feel good and have energy, but it isn't at all hypo or manic.
