Doing the required intro thingey, so here goes.

I'm Harp. I draw, I write, I'm a video-game playing nerd, et cetera. I also am dealing with depression, anxiety/panic attacks, and some very specific chronic pain which has left me unable to work since 2011. After some prodding, my therapist suggested I seek out some support-group-like community (instead of me just bitching to her about how alone I feel lmao), so I'm tentatively dipping my toes into the pool, spurred on in part by suffering some really weird and frightening side effects while switching meds.

Hopefully I can make some friends and draw on the collective wisdom here. I'm always down to talk about Star Wars, after all, and am on my way through completing my first runthrough of Dragon Age Inquisition mostly because i have been playing it to avoid freaking out about said weird and frightening side effects then again i guess the generalized anxiety makes everything weird and frightening whoops?

Anyway, it's good to meet you all~ o/

Welcome, Harp.  You have found your people.  I'm glad you're dipping your toes in our pool, and I hope you enjoy getting to know some of our members.  I imagine you will meet quite a few Star Wars peeps and we have lots of game-playing nerds.

Please let us know if  we can help you in any way.

Welcome! You are by no means required to list your diagnoses and meds in your signature, though many members do.  It helps as a reference point when responding to posts - in other words, you can see what the user is/has been on and what diagnoses they have, so that you can direct your response appropriately.  However, some people choose not to do it at all, and you won't be penalised if you choose not to either.

Thank you all for your warm welcomes! It really means a lot :)

I take it that I should probably list my meds and diagnoses in my signature? Is that the usual custom?

I've never done it.  Call it laziness.  Do whatever you are comfortable with, and only answer the questions that you want to answer.
