sockhead
If I used a pill splitter to split a 200mg tablet of Seroquel IR (generic), would it create fairly accurate 100mg doses?
MiaB
I've regularly split IR pills with the blessing of both my pdoc and my pharmacist. If you're using a decent pill cutter then you'll be fine.
Destro
a $1 pill cutter from walmart is all you need to be accurate
sockhead
OK. Someone told me a possible wives' tale that a pill's content is only symmertrical if there is a line engraved or drawn on it.
Destro
Those little engraved lines are called "score marks". They are there to make breaking the pill in half easier without the need for a pill cutter. Most pill cutters have a small "V" that the pills slide into so the razor only cuts it in half.
