Smprz84
Any chemists out there know if Wellbutrin will still work with Haldol? I take 2mg of haldol and looking for something to perk me up.
jt07
Why wouldn't it work? Don't get too caught up in the "Wellbutrin is a dopamine reuptake inhibitor" line of thinking. It's more of a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (NRI) and not all that powerful one at that.
Smprz84
Do you take it with an antipsychotic?
jt07
I'm not taking it now, but the last time I took it with Risperdal. Risperdal didn't really affect it (and I still got horrible anxiety on it).

San
I take it with Seroquel and Invega Sustenna and it still works. I took it while on 10mg Haldol as well and Welly still worked. I don't find Haldol sedating, though. Even in higher doses (up to 20mg a day)
melissaw72
Do you take it with an antipsychotic? I take it with an AP and it works well for me. The Wellbutrin SR didn't work as much as the IR ones, so I had to change to the IR ones after being on the SR for awhile.

Smprz84
Do you hear voices though, without APs?
iaawal
I've taken mostly XL while on Saphris and afterwards, Zyprexa (though now it's PRN). The SR didn't work out for me but I don't think it was because I was on an antipsychotic. I'm not much of a hallucinator, I'm more delusional so can't speak to the voices part. San
Do you hear voices though, without APs? Yes, I do. I have delusions, paranoia, auditory hallucinations, etc. I have schizoaffective disorder, bipolar type. AP's crush the hallucinations.
