Hey guys, I haven't posted here in a while. I am currently on Nardil 90mg + Seroquel 100mg (for sleep).

The seroquel was only added about 3 weeks ago. Now I am getting terrible muscle stiffness when I do anything active. I was just mowing the lawn and my shins immediately began hurting and burning. I know shin splints are normal for runners, I've had them before when I ran too much....but I had barely started mowing when the pain began.

I even cramp up when I'm driving with my foot on the grass pedal! Has anyone had a similar experience? I am also overheating. I began sweating bullets right when I started; I am well hydrated. Should I call my pdoc?

I'd call the pdoc just to check in. Those are some of the common side effects with Seroquel.

I'm not sure if the overheating thing is serious or not--I was alway hot to start with so I didn't notice a difference.

IMHO, 100 mg sounds like alot for sleep--I'm on 25 or 50 mg(can't remember which)...my pdoc says the lower doses are better for sleep unless you've got a tolerance?

^I think it's definitely different for everyone dosage wise. I started on 100 mg for sleep when I first got put on Seroquel. Now though I take 400 mg because it helps with other things.

OP, I take my seroquel at night before bed and in about half an hour after taking it my legs can barely hold myself up. For me though it's not a problem, it's only at night and by the time my alarm goes off approx 5 hours later I'm totally fine. If this is something that concerns you though then i would definitely call your pdoc to ask about it.

I started with 50mg, which didn't work very well. 100mg is perfect for  full night's sleep.

Yeah, I'm more feeling the weakness during the day after the sleep effects have worn off. I wasn't even able to finish mowing the lawn :(
