yodude29
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to help my girlfriend who can't really control her anger. I feel she may genuinely have problems controlling her anger but don't know how willing she'd be to accept any kind of professional help or anything like that. It's clearly affecting her day to day life though, as she gets angry over the smallest of things and it tends to cause her difficulty breathing and she lashes out at others. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to help someone who seems to have real difficulty controlling their anger, and it doesn't appear as if conventional methods of controlling anger help her much. Any thoughts would be really appreciated
WinterRosie
If she isn't willing to work on it then you can't force her to. You could leave for your own safety and protection. You could try giving an ultimatum first. But change needs to be desired in order to happen; behavioural changes cannot be imposed.
