Hello, welcome to CB!

I just want to clarify something that was mentioned above: we here at CB discourage one-on-one PM support. This is for two reasons:

  1. You are not alone! By posting for support you can not only see that by getting a variety of responses from individuals in a similar situation, but you also affirm to others who are silent that they're not alone either! The more open we can be about our struggles the more that we encourage others to be able to start to get help for theirs.
  2. PM support sets up a situation where the person who is providing support is at risk of burnout or compassion fatigue. It can be burdensome to feel responsible for someone else. Sometimes the situation gets out of control, or life gets hard (we're all peers here, after all), or there is more to the issue than one person can handle. So then they feel responsible for managing a situation that's beyond them and stop coming around, losing their own supportive place here. We don't want for that to happen!

That said, if you need anything please don't hesitate to contact the staff (moderators or admin) because that's what we're here for.

I hope that you can start to feel better soon. What are you doing to encourage that happening?
