I never responded to any SSRIs but viibryd worked modestly for me... More than I thought it was, I think, now that I'm off of it. But I was gaining weight rapidly and very fatigued. My pdoc insists it doesn't cause weight gain, but something increased my appetite... It was either that or it cancelled out the effects of my adderall. anyway, I'm wondering if viibryd is like an SSRI with buspar, maybe buspar on its own might help? Anyone compared the two, or taken buspar for depression? I know it's more prescribed for anxiety but I've heard it can be helpful for depression in some. Sometimes it is given to augment an antidepressant, but I don't think it has much antidepressant properties on its own. I think it would be a shot in the dark.
