Catnapper
I've recently started Brintellix and it's giving me insomnia - I wake up about 3:00 every morning and then can't get back to sleep. I'm using Ambien CR but it's generic. My experience with plain Ambien is that there is quite a bit of difference between generics. Is there a big difference between Ambien CR brand name vs. the generic brands? I think my pdoc would prescribe it that way if I asked him, I will definitely ask him about his experience with the two meds next time I see him in a couple of weeks. I need to get some sleep! water
oh, I'm sorry Catnapper. Insomnia is the PITS!!!!I took brand Ambien, but not the CR, which is the extended pill? that did not work for me, kept me up actually. I took the regular ambien, and the generic did NOT work for me.ALL of my meds are generic. I keep getting notices from Benecard saying, "Won't you PLEASE switch? This is how much money you will save!" Fuck that. I have always found a huge difference between the generic and the brand for all of my meds. But I am extra sensitive.I don't know if you can take a benzo, but xanax if my new sleep med of choice. AMbien gave me IBS. Xanax works very fast, so if you woke up in the middle of the night you can take it then. The few times I took Ambien CR, I also woke up in the middle of the night. It just didn't work for me. (sorry for any redundance. Have a migraine.)
Gearhead
Ambien CR works for me; it is the only sleep med that has ever worked. And only the brand works. Generic doesn't work at all.
