Fluffypinkbunny
I've been depressed for just about a year now. Really bad at times too. Over the past year I tried all different meds. Some made me more depressed.Anyhow, I just started 20mg Latuda three days ago and I feel like my old self. Could this be possible? My outlook is more positive and I have energy too.Anyone here have such a positive result so fast with Latuda? Southern Discomfort
Not lurasidone but I got something like this from risperidone. I can't say how fast it worked but there was a dramatic shift from a severe depressed state to feeling good about myself. It does feel amazing to come out the other side of that dark tunnel, doesn't it? Congratulations on finding 'the one'.
jt07
I had a similar effect as Southern Discomfort from Risperdal the first time I took it. Abilify took forever and a day to work for me (8 weeks). But to be fair, it started to work rather quickly after I hit 10 mg. So I don't know about Latuda. I hope it's the real thing for you! Gearhead
I didn't end up staying on Latuda, but I had a very fast reaction to it as well, a few day at most. I hope it keeps working for you.

Rabbit37
I haven't taken latuda, but I agree that risperdal was magical within 2-3 days, so yes, I think it's possible. Fantastic! Hope it continues to improve.
Fluffypinkbunny
Thank you all! I sure hope this is the one for me. Just checked with my insurance and it's covered, with a 25 co pay. Thank goodness for that! Edit: Well I don't know what's going on but my mood lift was short lived. I still feel better but not as good as that one day.At least I know that I'm able to get and feel better. geekything
AAP's tend to work pretty quickly (which is why they're useful in acute and chronic therapy), so I don't see why it wouldn't help your depression that quickly.Glad to hear you're getting some relief.
crtclms
I don't remember how fast it worked, but I had a lot of luck with Latuda, and would still be on it if it weren't for the cost (FUCK Medicare plan D). I really hope you are getting as good a response as I did.
Fluffypinkbunny
I'm sorry you had to go off of it crtclms after such a good response:( How many mg were you on? I think I need to bump up.
Fluffypinkbunny
crtclms I'm so sorry you had to go off due to the cost. That blows!I'm thinking I need to go up as I'm not there yet. I'm better and hope that an increase will do the trick. How many MG were you on?
crtclms
I was on 80 mg, which is not as high as you can go. But it was really working well for me, I would say I was stable. I don't think the risperdal is going to be as good.
Fluffypinkbunny
Thanks crtclms! I'm at 40 now and will continue up the ladder. This is the first drug that I don't have any side effects from. Big plus in my book!
San
I'm on 80mg, I started out on 60mg, right off of Seroquel 600mg XR daily, and it really improved my mood and all the bad cognitive shit went away. It was bumped to 80mg after some paranoia, and has seemed to kick in quick and work well.
mjs190
Agreeing with those who had rapid effects on Risperdal. I noticed a difference in two days. Latuda didn't help me unfortunately, I wish it had
