Wasco
I was so anti-medication because brainwashed by antipsychiatry (I am not saying they may not be right on some points but the critique is excessive) and the health movement that I did not take medication and now I realize how bad it was and that I was doing a lot better on medication. Not in terms of depressions but in terms of anxiety and OCD. I remember being teenager and I was very suicidal antidepressants really helped with that. I think it is best for me to go back on medication but I wonder what type of antidepressants is the best for obsessiveness and anxiety ?
melissaw72
I don't have an answer of a specific med because everyone reacts to them differently. I think it is a great question to bring up with your pdoc. I'm glad you are doing better on meds.
jt07
I second talking to your psychiatrist about it, but SSRIs have helped my OCD and anxiety a lot.
