Fluffypinkbunny
After upping Latuda to 40mg my anxiety skyrocketed. The dr lowered it back down to 20 but I'm scared to take it now. Two hours after I take it, the anxiety and restlessness start up. I also take Cogentin and lorazapam at the same time, but it doesn't help.I just started Prazosin for nightmares/ptsd and also asked for Gabapentin. Dr. didn't want to do to many changes at once, so I didn't get it.Anyone take both Prazosin and Gaba? Have you found this combo helpful? Thanks in advance! saveyoursanity
I have taken both at the same time in the past. The prazosin has always worked well for my nightmares starting from the first time I took it, five or so years ago. I have also asked for prazosin when a triggering event causes my nightmares to flare up, but I don't like taking it long term because I can feel kinda groggy when taking it.However, I didn't notice any lessening of my anxiety or restlessness with the gabapentin and I'm on a fairly high dose for fibromyalgia.
Fluffypinkbunny
Thank you! I didn't get the gabapentin but am staying on the Prazosin. It does help with my nightmares but now I'm feeling dizzy in the morning.Update: I'm really liking the Prazosin. The dizziness has subsided and it's helping with the nighmares. I also feel very calm during the day. It's a keeper in my cocktail. Edited October 4, 2015 by Fluffypinkbunny
