rondaroo723
I have been on Cymbalta for a while but it seems to make me angry easily here lately. The dr changed me today to Brintellix 5mg for a week then up it to 10mg. I know this is a fairly new med so i don't know much about it. Can u drink while taking it. I like to have a glass or 2 of wine at night. And what about my other meds, Xanax, Klonopin, will they interact with this?
Mattatron
I don't think that the alcohol would be much of an issue with the anti-depressant. It would be more of an issue combined with Xanax and Klonopin though from what I hear. One or two glasses of wine doesn't sound like much especially if you're used to it. I would likely keep it to just one glass and see how it affects you first before drinking more. When in doubt ask your pdoc and see what he/she says about light to moderate drinking while on your meds. Also, keep in mind that alcohol is a depressant, so it might make the anti-depressant less effective. Edited October 7, 2015 by Mattatron
