Hello,

I was on 40 mg of Latuda and experience a lot of sedation. I was sleep 12 hours a night and definitely felts some sedation during the day. Is this sedation normal? I am now at 20mg should I see a decrease?

Also, I am wondering if modafinil would be worth adding to my list. Does anyone have any experiences with this or provigil?

I am on provigil and it works really well for me.  I take it for a sleep disorder, and am on a fairly high dose (600 mg) of it.  And Idk what I would do without it.  Without it I can barely keep my eyes open during the day because I am constantly sedated without it.

FWIW, I am also on Wellbutrin IR, which helps keep me awake too.

My GUESS is that you will be less sedated on the lower dose, but it will take time for it to leave your system for you to really know if it is keeping you sedated or not.  So I'd give it a little while at the lower dose to see if it effects sedation or not.

Latuda was not sedating for me, and I've read it can be more activating, though some don't feel activated or sedated. Provigil is a wakefulness promoting agent, so my guess is that if you do not see a decrease in sedation at a lower dose of Latuda, Provigil will likely help your fatigue.
