How easy is it actually to over heat on anti psychotics. I just went for a short semi brisk walk on my treadmill for 30 min. Felt hot had a panic attack so I went outside in -10 celicius weather to cool down.

 I walk a lot like 1-3 hours worth a day on the treadmill spaced over 24 hours. To try and stay thin and to avoid rotting as little as possible into the couch getting blood clots, and to keep my legs semi strong because my knees are shit.

problem is now I'm worried as soon as I start to feel hot I'm gonna over heat and die because the drug won't let me cool down. A year ago on latuda I was biking pretty hard on my excersise bike, and I remeber finishing sitting on the couch and not being able to cool. Again lucky it was February so I just went outside. That scared me into stopping the latuda.

Is this a reasonable fear? Do any of you have heat issues on your AAP?  How do you cope with it

How dangerous is this? And if you did have this side effect in the beginning did it go away. I already don't handle heat well pill or no pill.

Ugh so worried about this now. What am I supposed to do rot in my basement all summer? Never move from the couch? I was a athlete when I was younger always running around, playing AAA basketball, weightlifting now do to my physical issues I can't do any of that, and because of the pill I won't be able to even go for my walks I find very therapeutic and make me feel better/healthier? This is bullshit.

Maybe I should just say forget this shit stay unmedicated nuts and take nothing. I feel like it's always lose lose choices in life.

Hope=zero

I don't remember what med I was on, but I was specifically told that in warm/hot weather, because my body won't sweat enough to cool down, and I could get hyperthermia.  Also said to drink a lot of extra water if I am out in the heat/or get really hot for whatever reason.

Yeah that was I'm reading and hearing. I just hope it's not as dangerous as I've read.
