IcePrincess88
For the last 30 minutes, the area of my eye between my eyelid and eyebrows has been involuntary contracting and twitching. This was a side effect that my pdoc told me to look out for. But of course it's Friday and the office wont be back open until Monday. Help! What should I do? Anyone else had this? tryp
I used to get that sometimes and I never made much of it, but my doctor never warned me about it either, so maybe it was a different issue. If you're worried and your doctor is closed, I'd call your pharmacist. They know a lot about meds and can often at least tell you if something is dangerous/not dangerous. Wooster
Doubling down on calling a pharmacy. Most pharmacists I have asked say they actually really like it when people call with questions like that because they get to feel like they are using their training for more than just pill dispensing. I have been known to get a semi-regular twitch under my left eye. It seems to be a combination of too much stress + caffeine for me.
jt07
Tripling down on calling the pharmacy. I've got twitches all over, mostly caused by my carbamazepine, but the doctor never made much over them. Not saying your doctor is wrong, and I certainly do suggest calling your doctor after the weekend.
saintalto
My eyes twitch whenever I'm stressed, but nothing so bad ad this. Agree with all of the above on contacting the pharmacy.
IcePrincess88
I was looking it up online(so reliable, I know) and Seroquel is a medication associated with twitching. It also happens to be the medicine my pdoc is gradually taking me off of. I'm off the regular Seroquel completely and I'm on 200mgs Seroquel XR until tomorrow and I'll be down too 100mgs. Crazy coincidence? I will definitely be calling the pharmacist tomorrow, along with my pdoc on Monday. Thankfully the twitching has stopped, or at least lessened to where I don't notice it as much. Having anxiety only made this worse of course. I thought I was dying for some weird side effect, then I thought I was going to go blind because of it, then I thought the rest of my body would start involuntary twitching and I would end up having a seizure, oh the joys of anxiety. jt07
Yeah, anxiety does make these things worse, at least for me.

I get that when I am really tired, but not from only one night of sleep ... it is when I am in general overtired from not sleeping well for like a week or so. It hasn't happened in a long time, but for me it is when I am tired.

Just enjoy the eye twitching, it goes away. But it is weird and I was certain Everyone noticed it. However I looked in the mirror and it was just so small! IcePrincess88
Thankfully the twitching stopped. I don't know if it was from going off of Seroquel XR or from the Amitriptyline. I'm on neither anymore.
