saintalto
When I'm psychotic, seroquel has almost no sedative affect on me. I imagine as your symptoms come down and stabilise, you'll feel differently and I imagine they'll also lower your seroquel because it sounds like you are on a dose appropriate for mania and hospitalisation. I don't think, but I'm not a doctor so don't quote me, that people are kept on doses exceeding 800mg for very long. Sort of how lithium doses in hospitals can be really high at first. melissaw72
I don't know specifically how you will be after coming off of seroquel because everyone is affected in different ways. For me, Seroquel had no effect for sleeping. I was at 800 mg. I don't remember how I was when coming off of it, but however I felt, it wasn't something I remember, so it must not have been a big deal for me. I don't think I was extra groggy when off of it. All I remember was that when I took it, it didn't do anything on it or off of it.
dragonfly23
I am on 700 IR at bedtime. When I was on lower doses I was very sedated. Couldn't even walk. The more my dose increased the less drowsy I was. I have heard many take seroquel in lower doses say around 25 mg to 100mg specifically for sleep. Once I got past 400mg I had no issues. I am very used to it by now.
