lifequake Posted June 12, 2016 Share Posted June 12, 2016 (edited) Rapid cycling occurs more often in women than in men. I've read it occurs in 10-20% of folks with BP. However, that doesn't mean it is permanent. For example, one might rapid-cycle one year and not for the next five years. The key is to get help ASAP if things are mixed/scary.
