Dee Dee
I'm starting on 80 mgs geodon in the morning and wanted to know if anyone has any experience.
dilemma
I was on geodon for years and took 80mg in the am and 160mg at night. However it was never sedating for me.
Dee Dee
Thank you. This is encouraging as most threads I've seen say the opposite. People seem to find Geodon to be very sedating. Did you take a sleep med with it?
dilemma
Yes, I did take seroquel with it, just for sleep. I did find geodon calming. As you've probably seen on other ousts about geodon, many people find it too sedating, which is why I mentioned that it wasn't for me. Sloane
FWIW I took both my Geodon (80mg) dosages at night, which helped with the sedation. Taking any in the morning would make me useless.
melissaw72
When I was on geodon, it was never sedating for me. It made me have a high pulse from what I remember, and ended up having an EKG to see if everything was ok. It was, but after that pdoc took me off of it for physical reasons. ETA: I took it all in the AM. Edited June 17, 2016 by melissaw72
Dee Dee
Thank you all for your posts. I haven't started. Decided the day will be Monday to allow my support system to be in place if needed. I appreciate all of your responses. It helps not being alone.
