Akathisia + room temperature?

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if maybe I'm the last person to realize this, but has anyone found that akathisia seems to get better or worse, depending on level of warmth? I've been on seroquel for nearly a year (second time around), and just lately it's been flaring up. It seems to be coinciding on how warm I am. A few weeks ago I was so frustrated, couldn't sleep, and kicked off all the covers... with the fan going and the windows open, it was quite cool, I was shivering a bit. But, maybe 10 minutes later, the akathisia subsided. Since then I've noticed that significantly cooling down has helped tremendously.

Any thoughts on this?
