bigbangaz
My pdoc told me that its possible... and im a little confused because at the college i thought i was god.... i dont understand i had all symptoms of mania but they lasted a few hours or maybe few days... right now on the meds i am i tend to be more hypomanic from time to time but for few hours...on zyprexa i tended to be more depressive.. so the main question can mania last a few hours for someone who hasnt started a treament?? melissaw72
I think this would be a great question up with your pdoc. To me it sounds like you might need a med tweak. 2 hours ago, bigbangaz said: so the main question can mania last a few hours for someone who hasnt started a treament?? I don't know the answer to this because in your sig it says the meds you are being treated with ...geodon and zoloft ... and you are asking in your question about if mania can last a few hours with someone who hasn't started treatment. Chantho
Do you mean you haven't started a mood stabilizer yet? I'm confused too because you mentioned Zyprexa, and your sig says geodon and zoloft.
Closure
I myself am prone to ultradian cycling, which means mood cycling within the course of a day, so for me cycling so fast is definitely a real thing. While when I ultradian cycle I do not become manic per se but only merely hypomanic (or mixed), to me it is not inconceivable. I do note you are on an SSRI according to your signature - and antidepressants can trigger cycling - which has been the case for myself, even on mood stabilizers and an antipsychotic as well. So I would highly recommend you mention that you are cycling like this to you pdoc sooner than later, and I mean call up your pdoc and tell them directly or leave a message for them at the first opportunity, rather than waiting for your next appointment. bigbangaz
I dont mean rapid cycling because before meds i experienced mania for sure not depression but it lasted few hours or maybe few days i dont remmber im asking these questions because sometimes i doubt these medications they are so unhealthy and bad side effects and sometimes i do ask myself could i live without starting these medications... i mean i was taken to the hospital because i overreacted like burning a table shattering an expansive vase and during that my thoughts raced so fast thats is why i ask if mania can last few hours... is part of thinking that ur god considered mania? Thanks for ur answers...
