OK, I know technically the article explains, but how the holy hell do you get that much debt.......................... I mean I know but wow. *facedesks repeatedly*

ETA: I shared the link with my sister, who is also in school. Her response (in all its autocorrect glory)

How the fuckity fuck fuck mother Fulkerson  did he get that much debt.

[edit] and his cosigner should probably be mentally evaluated

Don't professional track programmes, like lawyer and doctor, cost over $100k yearly? I'd imagine that that might have something to do with it. Something about anticipated earnings being adequate for paying it back...

Not that it's okay - just free market economics.

That would also make more sense.

I don't believe this is true.  Unless he kept having to retake a bunch of classes.

They said in the article that it was about his things under his name, so I guess like if Rosie said they were expensive... still, seems like a lot.

The article lists some of his qualifications -

Quote

J.D. means lawyer.  LL.M. means master of laws.

 - so he's been in law school and for a good long time. The difficulty is that lawyering isn't quite the get rich quick scheme that it used to be (if ever it was).

That makes sense. Thanks.

Still boggles the mind how he got that many loans though.... Impressive.

Thanks for the feedback.
