madmax15
So the weather man said there will be a 95 per cent chance of rain and thunderstorms. I thought ok I won't go out then. It's damn sure it's going to be terrible weather. So by the end of the day there was NO rain or thunderstorms. I spent the whole day inside for nothing! While I'm saying this I can't remember the last time the weather man was right! Edited September 30, 2016 by madmax15 .
San
Can you.. not go online and check the weather forecast, and radar and whatnot? Or put notifications of storm warnings and such on your phone? And, do yo not have windows? You can look outside and see what the weathers doing... olga
I use Weather Underground on line because I don't have a TV. They're pretty accurate most of the time, and have a radar map so you can see if there are rain clouds in your area. Today they said it would rain after 2:30 and it started at 4:00. That's pretty close. And as San said, can't you just look out the window? olga
melissaw72
I can look out the window and see the weather for that day. But the predictions made by the weathermen are often wrong, at least the ones on the news who talk about it.
WinterRosie
I always open my front door and walk out for three or four steps to establish the weather. I do this every time I wake up, still in my pyjamas. It tells me whether it's humid or dry (the more humid it is the more likely it is to rain); if it's sunny or cloudy I can dress accordingly. Do you have a raincoat, or an umbrella? Bring it with you, just in case. Go outside anyway. Although, from the sounds of it, being outside makes you miserable as well. Maybe you were better off this way.
chem
Even in my own city the weather varies from postal code to postal code. It's called microclimate. So one side of the hill could be sunny and warm and the other side could be fogged over in the morning. It's just how it is and there's no way to say that on a weather map that "east side of Black Mountain will be cool and foggy while north Side of Black Mountain will be sunny and warm." You're dealing with too many specifics No weather forecast is 100% right 100% of the time. Weather patterns change throughout the day. Storm fronts appear as suddenly as they can disappear off the weather radar. Like olga, Melissa, Rosie, and San suggest, look outside or even step outside now and then to see what the weather's doing to plan accordingly. WinterRosie
So... how's the weather where you are?
jt07
I never believe the weather people too much unless they can prove what they are saying by radar. I always say the weather for me is what I see outside my window.
