'on the day in my life that many things simultaneously happened (9/15), my GI got a letter that a medication I take was being recalled.  I hadn't even heard of a medication refill anymore.  Anyway, it was a particular batch of hyoscamin, which is the one that I transferred up to NY when my GI system was going crazy (it's still incredibly happy as I learned while driving the car back from a GI doc appointment).

Anywho, I've got a new one--dicyclomine.  Anyone have experiences with it?  I don't need it now because weekends are sometimes better.  But I'm sure I'll need it at some point, so just curious.  Maybe I should keep it in my purse like the zofran that magically appeared.

Yes, I am on dicyclomine right now (20 mg pills), but now it is PRN.  In the beginning I was on 4 x/day.

Now, when I use it when I am going to the bathroom a little every 5-10 minutes (drives me crazy).  I take one pill (takes about a half hour to settle in, so you might feel a difference around that amount of time), and it helps.  If it continues though, I take another one and that will usually do the trick.  Before when I was on 4x/day, it was because my IBS was totally insane.

I do keep it in my purse also, along with zofran ... because IBS is so unpredictable you never know when you'll need it.

Yeah, I'm starting to find patterns but they are all stress related.  For example, getting swamped with work or hearing that the person from work who I swear was in the hospital and said something reassuring was not actually there. So the first one just because of stress and the second because it turned what I thought was friendship into an auditory hallucination...which made me wonder how much else of what's in reality is actually in reality.
