I have recently been placed on latuda.  A few notes:

its pretty much a sleeping pill.  I have it take it right before bed, say 10pm

for it to metabolize properly, its advised to be taken with 350 calories of food.  Does anyone have a generalized concoction they take to achieve the 350 calories?

any other suggestions to make a smooth transition into latuda.

Coming off Effexor btw.  75 mg.  Kinda sucks.

A lot of people seem to be calling Latuda a sleeping pill which is hard for me to believe personally, as it was extremely activating for the short time I was on it. I hear that a lot of people will drink ensure with it, as it contains exactly 350 calories. It also enables you to take it off of a mealtime schedule so to speak. You may try that route.

Thanks for the response.

Since this post I've abandoned latuda.  It just wasn't for me.  I would take it and simply pass out.  My night was ruined.

Im now on 30 of cymbalta.  Seems to be working.   I was on 37.5 of Effexor.   Minus some tennitus I like cymbalta.

I really liked Cymbalta too. It was really good for depression. Especially if you have a tired, unmotivated depression.

Latuda in the lower doses like 20mg and 40mg can be stimulating but at 60mg and 80mg is more sedating. I took it twice, first time at the higher doses with just Lamictal and then at 40mg the second time which wasn't as sedating. I didn't find it to be very effective on its own but it has a rough burn-in period which caused me to go off it the second time that I tried it.
